I have just found out that the documents that will accredit me with the Cite in Paris have not been sent so am a little bit stressed as there are only three weeks to go and Easter is in the middle of that time. I'm sure it will be sorted but nevertheless it is another concern that we don't need at the moment.
Have finished writing letters to various galleries in France who potentially may be interested in exhibiting my work and am about to send them off with a PDF copy of the translated version of my catalogue. Perhaps I will be able to follow up some of these while in France but will wait and see.
Although I am still waiting to hear from some of the museums etc that I have tried to contact others have been great. The lady from the library of the Jardin des Plantes has invited us for dinner on the weekend we arrive to discuss my research and see how she can help which is pretty amazing and maybe augers well for the rest of the trip.
The East Side Print Studio in New York have said that they are happy to get together to talk about possible links with HIP - perhaps there will be others in Paris I hadn't really thought about that. Not sure that everything that I wanted will be sorted here before I go but there are plenty of good people to hold the fort and keep things moving along.
